Pulley lagging: The pulley lagging is done by cold vulcanization and can be done at Nuera Industrial's shop or at the client’s premises.
Following are the steps required to execute this type of work:
- Firstly, the choice of rubber is very important (diamond type rubber and herringbone style 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 3/4" or in other thicknesses. It is essential for a head pulley. For a tail pulley the most commonly used rubber is a black smooth type.
- Secondly, the steel preparation: sandblast the surface, clean and apply one layer of primer and let dry, and apply one layer of cement and let dry.
- Thirdly, the rubber preparation (measuring, cutting, sandblasting, cleaning, application of cement and drying).
- Fourthly, the vulcanization of the rubber on the steel.
- Fifthly, the finish of the pulley.
- Lastly, the final inspection: the technician has to do a visual and normal verification. We have to check the grip factor and ensure that there are no air bubbles below the rubber.
We also offer hot vulcanized pulley lagging. This type of lagging is made at Nuera Industrial's shop only. Many types of lagging are offered (SBR, Neoprene, Nitrile, and others) and polyurethane with the hardness of your choice as per your specification.
